Born and raised in Oklahoma, Jonah grew up with a deep love for the outdoors. Especially duck hunting. His family spent time in Montana throughout his childhood, and he even spent part of his high school years in the Flathead Valley, where he met Grant. Those years left a lasting impression, and even after moving back to Oklahoma, Jonah always knew he would eventually find his way back West. That pull became even stronger after he met his now-wife, Hailey, through Grant. After graduating high school, Jonah packed up everything and moved to Kalispell, ready to build a life rooted in Montana.

Today, Jonah plays a major role in the day-to-day success of Aspen Forestry and Landscape. He manages some of the company’s largest projects from start to finish, overseeing crews, equipment, materials, scheduling, and all the moving parts it takes to bring a project together. He thrives in the field, leads by example, and isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.

Outside of work, Jonah is happiest outdoors—whether he’s duck hunting, exploring Montana, or spending time with Hailey and their dogs, Kaia and Piper. After getting married in August 2026, Jonah is building more than just a career here in the Flathead Valley, he’s building a life, a family, and a future in the place he always knew he’d return to.

Ted has been with Aspen Forestry and Landscape for nearly the entire journey and has played a tremendous role in building the company into what it is today. A lifelong Flathead Valley outdoorsman, Ted has a natural connection to the forest and an unmatched ability to understand the land around him. His attention to detail, experience, and knowledge of forestry are invaluable to our team.

Ted is a devoted husband and loving father of four daughters, whom he  raised right here in the Flathead Valley. His love for the outdoors extends well beyond his work, and you’ll often find him enjoying the mountains, woods, and everything Montana has to offer.

As the leader of our Forestry Division, Ted brings a straightforward, get-it-done attitude to every project. He is an exceptional equipment operator and has a unique ability to assess a job, understand what needs to happen, and make it happen safely and efficiently.

Ted also keeps Aspen’s entire fleet moving. From chainsaws and small engines to our largest pieces of equipment, Ted handles the majority of our shop maintenance and repairs. If it has an engine, a hydraulic system, or a problem that needs fixing, there’s a good chance Ted can figure it out.

Kenny has been part of Aspen Forestry and Landscape for over six years, bringing a unique combination of forestry experience, field knowledge, and a strong drive to keep the company moving forward. Originally from Wisconsin, Kenny grew up hunting and fishing and developed a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. One of his favorite traditions is a fishing trip back home that has grown into a four-generation family tradition. It’s that same connection to the outdoors that eventually brought him West.

Kenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point with two degrees in Wildland Fire Science and Forest Management. He spent 10 years with the U.S. Forest Service fighting wildfires, an experience that ultimately brought him to the valley and provided a deep understanding of the land, forests, and the work that goes into managing them. At Aspen Forestry and Landscape, Kenny handles the day-to-day operations and growth of the business, from bidding and estimating projects to planning ahead and helping guide the company’s direction. He works to identify new opportunities, build strong relationships, and make sure AFL continues to grow while maintaining the quality and reputation it was built on.

When he’s not working, you’ll usually find Kenny somewhere outdoors with his bird dog, Vina aka Princess. Whether they’re bird hunting across Eastern Montana or running around the backcountry, the Flathead Valley has proven to be a perfect fit for both of them.

Kelsey wears a lot of hats at Aspen Forestry and Landscape, helping keep the business moving both behind the scenes and out in the field. She manages accounts receivable and payable, assists with bidding and estimating, and isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and take on projects of her own. She brings an organized, hands-on approach to the work and is always ready to tackle the next challenge.

Kelsey has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the lifestyle that comes with living in the Flathead Valley. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her fly fishing, paddleboarding, out on the lake, or cheering from the sidelines as her daughter plays soccer. Being a mom is one of the most important parts of Kelsey’s life, and she loves spending as much time as possible supporting her daughter and making memories together. Kelsey’s creativity doesn’t stop when the workday ends. She owns her own woodworking business, where she designs and builds custom doors and wall mosaics. She has a natural eye for design and a knack for turning ideas into something tangible, beautiful, and completely unique. That same creativity carries into her work at Aspen, where she enjoys finding solutions, thinking outside the box, and taking on projects that challenge her.

Above all, Kelsey brings a positive, energetic, and fun-loving attitude to everything she does. Whether she’s behind a desk, out in the field, building something in her shop, or cheering on her daughter, she’s always looking for the next opportunity to learn, create, and make things better.
